Both Dr. Coman and Nicole Coman are Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) trained and research reliable, providing gold-standard and focused diagnostic differential evaluations for individuals, across the lifespan, presenting with concerns for ASD. Dr. Coman is also trained and certified in the Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes (SIPS/SOPS) via Yale Medical School.
Our primary philosophy is to work from a strengths model, so we can identify how to optimize an individual's functioning and simultaneously support any vulnerabilities with comprehensive, yet clear, concise, and explicit recommendations. Our evaluations often lead to specific diagnoses when clinically indicated, assess for progress across time (see template here, e.g., academically, socio-emotionally), and offer a 3- to 4-year treatment and educational plan, which is informed by the extant scientific literature and the team's experience with evidence-based practices. A unique attribute to our recommendations is that Dr. Coman has expertise in delivering evidence-based treatment services. We also ensure our findings, clinical feedbacks, and written reports are clear and translatable to all involved parties. It is our highest priority to ensure caregivers and patients have a thorough understanding of the findings as well as the treatment and educational needs. Finally, both Dr. Coman and Nicole Coman have extensive experience in collaborating effectively with school teams, school districts, educational advocates, and educational attorneys. (Neuropsychological Assessment: $4800 - $5250; Early Childhood Evaluation Ages 3 and under: $2625; Focused Educational Evaluation: $3250; 30-minute Adolescent Feedback Session: $195)
